About Jodie

I have always adored helping people to see their own strengths, celebrate their wins, and feel good about themselves.  I originally began studying my Master of Counselling to equip me with more skills for my facilitation of group workshops, however from my first client session during placement I was hooked. This is where I am supposed to be.

It can be tough to feel 'enough' in this culture where we feel pressure to perform our worth via appearance, busy-ness, and doing it all.  I've been part of the growing army of professionals standing up for ALL bodies, a non-diet approach, intuitive movement, and values based living. Known for my warmth, I value kindness, connection, autonomy, empowerment, and care; this will form the basis of our work together.

Qualification & Registration

I have a Masters in Counselling from Monash University, and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Association of Australia (PACFA).

I have completed Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Training Level 1 with Russ Harris, and am Mental Health First Aid certified.

I feel honoured to be trusted with clients’ stories, and witness
their growth

Some things about me

I'm a big fan of dogs, dresses with pockets, the first blossom in spring, chai tea, and I've never met a cheese I didn't like.  My self-care includes chats with friends, time with my Labrador x Blue Heeler Roxy, sewing, reading fiction, walking, space in my week to do nothing, and my own therapy.  Practicing self-compassion completely transformed my life.
